This department consists of two wards, which is split into male and female genders, and the wards each have 44 beds. Our General Hospital provides a modern orthopaedic theatre for orthopaedic surgery and fracture care. This department treats all types of patients and does all types of orthopaedic surgeries and Eye surgeries. The orthopaedic department provides treatment for all types of musculoskeletal injuries. This will include the following treatments for inpatient and outpatient surgical care and rehabilitation. The orthopaedic physicians that our hospital has will also provide joint and bone replacement. Orthopaedic trauma can occur in many places such as the spine, knee, elbow, ankle etcetera. Subspecialties within the department include adult reconstruction, pediatrics, sports, trauma, spine, foot etcetera.
We also provide non-surgical treatment, which is doing therapy to the affected bone. The hospital also provides treatment for arthritis and osteoporosis. The equipment that is provided in this hospital can be matched to international hospital standards. Surgical and non-surgical treatments have mostly been successful within our hospital. In the orthopaedic department, we are able to fix bone deformities, fractures, tumors, infections.We are also able to do amputations to the damaged part of the body. The types of imaging procedures we use are Computed tomography (CT) scan, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, X-rays. The types of surgical procedures we have are amputation, arthroscopic surgeries, cartilage repair, and cartilage surgery to knee, fracture care, joint replacement, Ligament reconstructions, spine surgery, and spinal fusion.
